Each year, thousands of people gather for a series of Halloween parades in Kawasaki, Japan. On October 28, 2017, the city held its family-friendly version.

It was the 21st anniversary of the Kawasaki Halloween parade. Kawasaki is in Kanagawa prefecture, about 12 miles south of Tokyo.

To walk in the main parade on October 29, participants must be at least high school age.

Only children elementary age and younger were allowed to participate, but they must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16.
