An event billed as Apple Computer Company's annual shareholder's meeting on 1/24/1984 drew 2,600 of the company's believers to their feet in wild applause when Apple unveiled its latest line of desk top technology. The computer which Apple is counting on to help them recapture the personal computer market from IBM is the Macintosh, a muscular, easy to use desk top computer.
