NEW YORK, April 19 (UPI) -- A New York state prison guard has been charged with having sex with a female inmate known as the "Fatal Attraction" killer, the New York Post reports.
Lt. Glenn Looney, 48, of upstate Newburgh is the second corrections officer in the past five years to stand accused of having sex with Carolyn Warmus, 40, at the maximum-security prison for women in Bedford Hills.
Warmus was sentenced to 25 years for the 1989 fatal shooting of her lover's wife, thus earning her the moniker of "Fatal Attraction" killer.
She recently accused Looney of having sex with her in July 2002, while he was a supervising guard, and to back her claim she gave officials what she said was a sample of his semen, which she had kept refrigerated in plastic for nearly two years.
State Police charged Looney last week with misdemeanor second-degree sexual abuse for allegedly having had an inappropriate and intimate relationship with an unnamed inmate.
A 23-year department veteran, Looney was arraigned in a Bedford court last week and released on $500 bond.
