Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson has not hired an agent going into the 2018 NFL scouting combine. His mother -- Felicia Jones -- will instead serve as his advisor, according to multiple reports. Jackson is one of 19 quarterbacks invited to the combine. The festivities kickoff on Tuesday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

Quarterbacks begin with hospital pre-exams, X-rays and interviews with teams on Wednesday. They have on-field workouts on Saturday.
Jackson, 21, was the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner. The junior gunslinger completed a career-best 59.1 percent of his throws for 3,660 yards, 27 scores and 10 interceptions in 13 games this season for the Cardinals. He also ran for 1,601 scores and 18 touchdowns.
Jackson had 1,571 yards and 21 scores on the ground last season, while throwing 30 touchdown passes against nine interceptions and passing for 3,543 yards.
He is slotted as a late first-round pick by several analysts at NFL.com.
Jackson's mother has played a huge role in his life. He mentioned her during his Heisman Trophy acceptance speech in 2016.
"To my mother...oh my God, I'm just happy to be here," Jackson said in the speech. "I'm sorry man. I wasn't nervous at first because I didn't know who was going to win this award, but to be up here, it's great. It's crazy man. These guys are great. I'm just happy right now. But back to my mother. She put so much into me, like I said before, losing my father and my grandma on the same day. It hurt me. I wanted to cry real bad, but my mom was the real soldier, because I was going to be the baby, the female that day. But she told me, 'Lamar do not cry,' and I'll remember that for the rest of my life. So every time when certain things don't go my way, or this and that don't happen, I just own up to it and be a man about the situation. And Mom, I love you so much."
The 2018 NFL Draft is set for Thursday, April 26 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
