Mark Consuelos appears in holiday card with 'Riverdale' family

Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Riverdale star Mark Consuelos appears in a holiday card with his on-screen family.

The actor's real-life wife, television personality Kelly Ripa, jokingly used a photo of Consuelos, Marisol Nichols and Camila Mendes on her family's Christmas card.

"Tired of fighting with the kids over the holiday card photo? Problem solved! Thanks @camimendes @marisolnichols @instasuelos (swipe to see actual family and don't forget to read the fine print!)," Ripa wrote on Instagram.

The front of the card shows Consuelos smiling and posing with Nichols and Mendes, who play his wife and daughter on Riverdale. The print reads "Happy holidays from our family to yours (No actual wives or children were used in this photo)."

Ripa used a picture of her real-life family on the back of the card. She and Consuelos are parents to 21-year-old son Michael, 17-year-old daughter Lola and 15-year-old son Joaquin.

"Love, The Consuelos' (ACTUAL FAMILY) Mark, Kelly, Michael, Lola & Joaquin," the back reads.

Consuelos also shared a photo of the card on his own account.

"My poor wife has resorted to using my TV family as our holiday card. Personally..I think it's her best work.." he wrote.

Consuelos plays Hiram Lodge on Riverdale, which is in the midst of its third season on The CW. Ripa announced in November she will play Hiram's mistress in the new season.

"It's a family affair........Hiram's mistress. 23 years of auditioning for a role i was born to play. Coming soon to the @thecwriverdale," she wrote on Instagram.
