MTV renews 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation' for second season

Feb. 28 (UPI) -- MTV said Wednesday it has renewed Jersey Shore Family Vacation for a second season.

Season 1 of the reality show, which takes place in Miami, is to have its global premiere April 5.

The series reunites Jersey Shore veterans Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio, Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.

Jersey Shore -- which followed a group of housemates spending their summer holidays together -- initially ran 2009-12.
