Nov. 18 (UPI) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars made a statement Sunday, saying the they have "zero intention" of trading All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

"The Jacksonville Jaguars have zero intention of trading CB Jalen Ramsey," the statement said. "There is no truth to this rumor."

League sources told ESPN that Ramsey is "forcing the Jaguars into considering a blockbuster trade this offseason." One of those sources said that he "absolutely" believes the franchise would entertain the idea of trading Ramsey. An NFL general manager also said he wouldn't be surprised if the Jaguars attempt to trade the star defender.

Ramsey sparked rumors about a potential departure when he posted "when I'm gone from here, y'all gone miss me," last week on his Twitter account. "I ain't even trippin lol," he added.

The Jaguars (3-6) sit in last place in the AFC South after falling just one win shy of a Super Bowl appearance last postseason.

Ramsey, 24, is due $3.4 million in 2019 and has a 2020 fifth-year option. The 2017 Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro selection leads a Jaguars defense that ranks No. 1 against the pass, allowing just 200.6 passing yards per game.

Ramsey has 30 tackles, four passes defensed and an interception in his nine starts this season. He has never missed a start since being selected with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Florida State.
