Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Hugh Jackman has inched closer to obtaining EGOT status after winning a Grammy. Jackman won the Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media on Sunday for the soundtrack to his musical, The Greatest Showman.
The actor is one Oscar away from the EGOT status, having already won an Emmy in 2005 for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program for hosting the 58th annual Tony Awards; and having already won a Tony in 2004 for his role as singer-songwriter Peter Allen in The Boy from Oz.
Jackman celebrated his Grammy win on Twitter, uploading a video of himself hearing that the soundtrack for The Greatest Showman had won.
"And the @RecordingAcad goes to ... @GreatestShowman @AtlanticRecords @pasekandpaul and the entire cast and crew! #Grammy," Jackman said.
