ATLANTA, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- One-in-nine U.S. children ages 4-17 were diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder in 2011-12, and 6 percent were on medication, officials say.
Scientists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found 2 million more U.S. children were diagnosed with ADHD and 1 million more U.S. children were taking medication for it over an eight-year period (2003-04 to 2011-12).
