WASHINGTON, June 19 (UPI) -- CVS/pharmacy is offering free health screenings in some locations in the Philadelphia, Delaware, New Jersey, Atlanta and Washington areas officials said.

The "To Your Health" program, which begins this weekend and continues throughout the summer, is part of efforts by CVS/pharmacy to improve access to preventive care in urban communities, the company said.

The community wellness events provide diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol and osteoporosis screenings. They also examine patients for oral care and provide referrals for mammograms and pap smears.

Physicians are scheduled to be available to help patients interpret results and provide counsel on a patient's next steps.

The full schedule of events through September is at or 888-604-0333.
