WASHINGTON, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Osteotech said Monday that it received clearance for its Grafton Plus DBM Paste.

Osteotch said the Food and Drug Administration has approved the medical device to be used in dental, oral or other bone work involving the head, face and jaw.

The latest approval is the second in one month, the company said.

Last month Osteotech said it received FDA approval to market the product as a bone-graft extender, bone-graft substitute and bone-void filler in orthopedic procedures.

Osteotech, based in Eatontown, N.J., processes human bone and connective tissue for transplantation and makes device systems for musculoskeletal surgery.
