Fire at Texas refinery injures 12, 3 critically

BEAUMONT, Texas, April 17 (UPI) -- A fire in a processing unit at an ExxonMobil refinery in Beaumont, Texas, injured 12 workers Wednesday, three critically, an official said.

The refinery unit had been shut down for repairs and all of those injured were contract workers, an ExxonMobil spokeswoman said. A dozen workers were injured, including three hospitalized with serious burns, the Beaumont Enterprise reported.

No refinery workers were injured.
