Nov. 28 (UPI) -- With just one week remaining in the fantasy football regular season, you probably already have your core players. But that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement.

You should still be navigating your waiver wire like a soon-to-be champion, in search of upside and maybe some insurance, in case one of your stars goes down to injury.

It's also a good time to cut some of those players on your bench, like your backup quarterback or running backs who you will never start in your weekly lineup. If you have the room, go out and get some game-changing talents who could explode if they are given the chance.

Here are the players I'm targeting to add on my Week 13 waiver wire and some of the players I'm willing to drop.

ALL-ADD TEAM

QB | Jimmy Garoppolo; RB | Jacquizz Rodgers, Rex BurkheadWR | Corey Coleman, Josh Doctson, Zay Jones; TE | O.J. Howard, Tyler Kroft; D/ST | Los Angeles Chargers; K | Chris Boswell

HONORABLE MENTIONS

QB | Tyrod Taylor; RB | Rod Smith, James Conner, Mike Davis; WR | Josh Gordon, Dede Westbrook, Marquise GoodwinTE | Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Ricky Seals-Jones; D/ST | Tampa Bay Buccaneers

TOP DROPS

QB | Dak Prescott, Jay Cutler, Matt Moore, C.J. Beathard; RB | Giovani Bernard, Damien Williams, C.J. AndersonWR | Chris Hogan, DeVante Parker, Jeremy Maclin; TE | Ed Dickson

QUARTERBACK

Jimmy Garoppolo saw limited action in Week 12 for the San Francisco 49ers, but he already looks like the best quarterback on the team. San Francisco's Week 13 starter has not yet been announced, but Garoppolo is not a bad option to stash if you have been streaming quarterbacks or you are just not confident in your current starter. If Garoppolo does get the start this week, he faces the Chicago Bears in a mediocre matchup. He would have the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans to open the fantasy football playoffs.

RUNNING BACK

Jacquizz Rodgers is suddenly relevant again. With Tampa Bay Buccaneers work horse Doug Martin dealing with a concussion, you should look at adding this talented backup running back. If Martin is out for Week 12, Rodgers will likely start Sunday against the Green Bay Packers in a decent matchup. He has immediate plug-and-play value as a streaming option against the Packers. Rodgers started four games to begin the season. In two of them he put up RB1 numbers. In Week 2, Rodgers had 67 rushing yards and a score on 19 carries. In Week 4, he had 108 yards from scrimmage on 18 touches. Watch out if he gets a similar workload in this spot.

WIDE RECEIVER

If you are still sleeping on Josh Doctson, it's time to wake up. The Washington Redskins' former first-round pick has four touchdowns this season, but has done his best work as of late. Doctson has 13 of his 21 receptions this season in his last four games. He had four catches for 81 yards in Week 11 and pulled in two grabs for 28 yards and a score in Week 12. Although he hasn't put up any 100-yard performances in 2017, he has been able to find the end zone. He is a decent bet to score in Week 13, against a Dallas Cowboys secondary that has allowed the second-most receiving scores this season to opposing wide receivers (15).

TIGHT END

Tight end is still one of the trickiest spots to figure out in your weekly lineup. But this week you should try and get O.J. Howard. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie is heating up at just the right time, with three receptions for 52 yards in back-to-back games. He scored his fourth touchdown of the season in Week 11 and should be very active Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. Howard will be a borderline TE1 this week, but has the talent to rise with plus-matchups ahead. He is worth stashing if you have the room on your roster.
