Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Disney+ is giving a glimpse of I Am Groot Season 2.
The streaming service shared a trailer for the new season Sunday on National Tree Day.
I Am Groot is a series of animated shorts featuring the Guardians of the Galaxy character Groot. Vin Diesel reprises his voice role of Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy films.
Season 2 will follow Baby Groot as he explores "the universe and beyond aboard the Guardians' spaceships, coming face-to-face -- or nose-to-nose -- with new and colorful creatures and environments," an official synopsis reads.
Season 1 writer and director Kirsten Lepore returns in Season 2. Lepore also executive produces with Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito and Victoria Alonso.
I Am Groot Season 2 premieres Sept. 6 on Disney+.
The Guardians of the Galaxy films are based on the Marvel Comics superhero team and star Diesel, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff and Bradley Cooper.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 started streaming on Disney+ last week.
