'Tales of the Walking Dead': Olivia Munn, Terry Crews team up in first photos

June 7 (UPI) -- AMC is giving a glimpse of the new series Tales of the Walking Dead.

The network shared first-look photos and a premiere date for The Walking Dead spinoff Monday.

Tales of the Walking Dead is an anthology series that follows both new and established characters in TWD universe.

"Each episode has its own distinct tone and point of view -- but the stakes are high in each story, pushing new, indelible characters with relentless, life-threatening choices and situations," an official description reads.

Anthony Edwards, Olivia Munn, Terry Crews, Parker Posey, Embeth Davidtz, Jessie T. Usher, Daniella Pineda and Danny Ramirez star. The show will also feature TWD alum Samantha Morton, who played Alpha.

The photos include a look at the new characters Evie (Munn) and Joe (Crews), who are seen teaming up.

Tales of the Walking Dead is created by Channing Powell. The series will have a two-episode premiere Aug. 14 at 9 p.m. EDT on AMC and AMC+.

The Walking Dead is in its 11th and final season on AMC, while the spinoff Fear the Walking Dead concluded its seventh season Sunday.
