May 16 (UPI) -- Comedian Stephen Colbert will be back in his New York TV studio Monday to host The Late Show.

"I'm footloose and Covid free! See you tomorrow," Colbert, 58, tweeted Sunday.

The show's Twitter feed also confirmed: "#LSSC is back with all new shows this week! See you tomorrow, when we'll be joined by Former Secretary of Defense @MarkTEsper and @JuddApatow!"

Last week's episode tapings were canceled because Colbert was experiencing "symptoms consistent with a recurrence of COVID," according to the show.

Colbert was first diagnosed with COVID-19 last month and was forced to call off his April 21 show.

At the time, Colbert assured fans that he was "feeling fine."

The late-night host is vaccinated and boosted against the coronavirus.
