Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Apple TV+ released the first trailer for the drama Swagger on Thursday. Kevin Durant produces the show with Reggie Rock Bythewood and Brian Grazer, inspired by Durant's youth.

Isaiah Hill stars as Jace, a 14-year-old basketball player named Jace Carson. Carson dreams of being scouted for the NBA.

O'Shea Jackson Jr. plays a coach, Ike, a former player himself. Quvenzhane Wallis also stars as Crystal, another young basketball player.

The trailer shows action on the court and drama outside. The police stop players on the street, and protests with signs reading "I can't breathe," like Eric Garner and George Floyd said, are visible.

Other characters include Jace's mother, Jenna (Shinelle Azoroh), who shares her son's dream. Musa (Caleel Harris) is the team's point guard.

Drew Murphy (James Bingham) is a player from an affluent area. Phil Marksby (Solomon Irama) is a rival player.

Royale (Ozie Nzeribe) is an inferior player, but one with a wealthy father. Meg Bailey (Tessa Ferrer) plays a rival coach.

Alonzo Powers (Tristan Mack Wilds) runs the grassroots division of a shoe company. Nick (Jason Rivera) is a player who came from Puerto Rico to make it to the top.

Bythewood created and showruns Swagger. He also writes and directs episodes of the show.

Swagger premieres with three episodes on Oct. 29. New episodes air weekly on Fridays through Dec. 17.
