"After much thought and consideration, I have made the very difficult and heartfelt decision not to return for the next season of Real Housewives of Atlanta," Bailey wrote.

"Thank you NBC Universal, Bravo and Truly Original for over a decade of partnership. I can't wait to see what we do next!" she said.

Bailey then thanked her RHOA castmates for 11 of "the most unbelievable years of my life; and the most incredible & UNFORGETTABLE memories!"

"I am so grateful to have had this amazing journey, and I am anxiously waiting to embark on new adventures," she said.

Bailey also thanked fans for their love and support throughout the years.

"Most importantly, THANK YOU to my fans! I could not have done it without your blessings, love, and support. Without the fans, none of this would be possible. I love and appreciate all of you," the star said.

"It's time to move on to my next chapter, and I look forward to sharing it with all of you," she concluded the post.

Bailey's former RHOA co-star Claudia Jordan, Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant and former Real Housewives of New York star Dorinda Medley were among those to voice their support for Bailey in the comments.

"Class, beauty and positivity to the very end. Love you and proud of you my friend! I will see you soon," Jordan wrote.

"Cheers to you Cynthia!" Bryant added.

"Incredible and forever iconic! I adore you @cynthiabailey!" Medley said.

Bailey joined RHOA in Season 2. She discussed her future with the show on The Wendy Williams Show in June, with host Wendy Williams telling Bailey she should be fired from RHOA.

"Let me tell you why -- because there's nothing more exciting that you can give to us," Williams said. "I don't want to see you fight, I don't want to see you get divorced. Like, I think it's time."

Bailey married her husband, Mike Hill, in October 2020.

RHOA completed its 13th season in May and co-stars Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams and Drew Sidora.
