Netflix renews 'Sex/Life' for a second season

Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Netflix has renewed drama series Sex/Life for a second season.

The streaming service made the announcement on Twitter Monday alongside a video celebrating fans of the series.

Netflix also noted that Sex/Life Season 1, which premiered in June, was watched by 67 million households.

Sex/Life follows Sarah Shahi as Billie, a wife and mother of two who wants to return to the sexually-active days of her past. Billie is married to Cooper (Mike Vogel) and crosses paths with former lover Brad (Adam Demos).

Co-stars include Margaret Odette, Phoenix Reich, Jonathan Sadowski and Li Jun Li.

Sex/Life is created by Stacy Rukeyser and is inspired by the book 44 Chapters About 4 Men by B.B. Easton.

Netflix also recently renewed Sex Education for a fourth season.
