'Sex Lives of College Girls': Mindy Kaling shares teaser for HBO Max series

Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Mindy Kaling is giving a glimpse of her new series The Sex Lives of College Girls.

The 42-year-old actress, writer and producer shared a teaser for the teen comedy-drama series Wednesday.

The preview shows Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet), Bela (Amrit Kaur), Leighton (Reneé Rapp) and Whitney (Alyah Chanelle Scott), four college freshmen roommates, wake to the unwelcome sound of a phone alarm after a night of partying.

"Early mornings are not it. Get ready for @thesexlivesofcollegegirls!" Kaling captioned the post.

The Sex Lives of College Girls will have a two-episode premiere Nov. 18 on HBO Max. The next three episodes will start streaming Nov. 25, followed by two more episodes Dec. 2 and the final two episodes Dec. 9.

The new series follows Kimberly (Chalamet), Bela (Kaur), Leighton (Rapp) and Whitney (Scott) as they navigate their first year at New England's prestigious Essex College.

Kaling created the show and will executive produce with Howard Klein and Justin Noble. Kaling also co-wrote the first episode with Noble, who serves as showrunner.

Midori Francis, Gavin Leatherwood and Christopher Meyer co-star.

Kaling is known for starring in The Office and The Mindy Project. She also created the Netflix teen drama Never Have I Ever, which was renewed for a third season in August.
