'Maya and the Three': Zoe Saldaña leads an all-star voice cast in new teaser

Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Zoe Saldaña voices a warrior princess in the new teaser for Netflix's upcoming animated series, Maya and the Three.

Saldaña's Maya must fullfull an ancient prophecy and save humankind from vengeful gods in the clip released on Tuesday.

The series, which will span nine 30 minute episodes, takes place in a mythical world where magic is real.

Diego Luna, Rita Moreno, Gabriel Iglesias, Rosie Perez, Alen Maldonado, Stephanie Beatriz, Gael García Bernal, Alfred Molina, Kate del Castillo, Danny Trejo, Cheech Marin, Queen Latifah, Wyclef Jean, Jorge R. Gutiérrez, Sandra Equihua, Isabela Merced, Chelsea Rendon, Joaquín Cosío and Carlos Alazraqui also provide voices.

Jorge R. Gutiérrez (The Book of Life, El Tigre) created Maya and the Three, which is coming to Netflix this fall.
