WWE Raw: Xavier Woods enters Hell in a Cell against Bobby Lashley

June 22 (UPI) -- The New Day crossed paths with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley on Raw, which resulted in members Kofi Kingston getting a future title match and Xavier Woods getting a match against the champ inside the Hell in a Cell structure.

The New Day kicked off Raw on Monday by interrupting Lashley and his manager MVP's celebration following the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event on Sunday. Lashley retained his title after defeating Drew McIntyre. The result means that McIntyre can long challenge Lashley for the WWE Championship.

Kingston and Woods stopped Lashley and MVP from having a toast with champagne by throwing pieces of toast into the ring. Kingston then challenged Lashley for the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank on July 18, which The All Mighty accepted.

Lashley himself challenged Woods to a non-title bout on Raw, with Woods suggesting that they use the Hell in a Cell structure as it remained raised above the ring.

The Hell in a Cell structure descended back down onto the ring for the main event. Kingston and MVP watched the action from outside the cage as Woods and Lashley were locked inside.

Woods fought hard and utilized a steel chair and a kendo stick. Woods kicked Lashley into the side of the cage and even landed a top-rope Elbow Drop to send the champ crashing through a table, but it wasn't enough.

Lashley would recover and take Woods out with a Spear before applying The Hurt Lock. Woods tapped out, ending the violent match. MVP, after the bell rang, snuck into the Hell in a Cell structure and locked the door behind him to keep Kingston out.

Lashley then continued to apply the Hurt Lock to Woods as Kingston looked on.

Also on Raw, a series of Money in the Bank qualifying matches took place in the men's and women's divisions. The winners of the matches would be get to compete in the men's and women's Money in the Bank matches on July 18.

McIntyre, whose body was bruised and battered from Sunday, competed against Riddle for a spot at Money in the Bank.

The Scottish Warrior tried to wrestle through the pain but was clearly not at 100%. Riddle was able to dodge the Claymore and apply the Bro-Mission. The Original Bro was later able to roll up McIntyre into a pin to get the upset victory.

Riddle, earlier in the night, inadvertently distracted his tag team partner Randy Orton in his Money in the Bank qualifying match against Joh Morrison.

Morrison won the bout after delivering Starship Pain.

On the women's side, the demented Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, who introduced a new superhero persona, teamed up to defeat Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler to both qualify for Money in the Bank.

Bliss once again used her supernatural powers to mind-control Jax and Baszler's manager Reginald. Cross took advantage of the distraction and rolled up Baszler for the win.

Other moments from Raw included Ricochet defeating Raw Tag Team Champion AJ Styles with help from The Viking Raiders to qualify for Money in the Bank; Asuka and Naomi defeating Eva Marie and Doudrop to both qualify for Money in the Bank; and Charlotte Flair getting a future rematch against Raw Women's Champion Rhea Ripley.
