The preview shows Poppy's friend Micah Keith (Kate Hudson) call on Poppy after her husband is murdered. Poppy and Micah team up to solve the case but Micah may be keeping secrets.

"Can you ever truly trust someone to keep your secrets safe?" Apple tweeted alongside the trailer.

Truth Be Told is based on the Kathleen Barber novel Are You Sleeping. The first season followed Poppy as she investigated the case of Warren Cave (Aaron Paul), a convicted killer who claimed he was framed.

The anthology series is created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman and co-stars Mekhi Phifer, MIchael Beach, Ron Cephas Jones, Tracie Thoms and Haneefah Wood.

Truth Be Told Season 2 will premiere Aug. 20 on Apple TV+. The series marks Hudson's first series regular role on television.
