June 16 (UPI) -- Owen Wilson discussed having Tom Hiddleston give him lessons on Loki and the Marvel Cinematic Universe while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The actor said on Tuesday that he wasn't familiar with the Marvel Cinematic Universe prior to joining the Loki series on Disney+.
Wilson stars as Agent Mobius of the Time Variance Authority on the show who wants to recruit Hiddleston's Loki to take down a new threat.
"Before we started filming Tom was nice enough to kind of walk me through the whole mythology and we called it the Loki lectures. We spent more than a few days going over it," Wilson said before Kimmel compared it to a community college course.
"That's kind of what it was like and I think if I had teachers like Tom, I would have done better in school because he was very understanding. I mean, he could tell when I was fading," Wilson continued.
Wilson said Hiddleston knew when it was the right time to stop the lecture and described how Hiddleston once came to his hotel room at night for further lessons.
Kimmel also presented a new clip from the Marvel series featuring Wilson's Agent Mobius discussing how he's worried that Loki will stab him in the back.
New episodes of Loki arrive Wednesdays on Disney+.
