June 15 (UPI) -- Peacock is giving a glimpse of the new series Dr. Death.
The streaming service shared a trailer for the crime drama Tuesday featuring Joshua Jackson as Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a real-life neurosurgeon who was accused of maiming or injuring multiple patients.
The preview shows surgeons Robert Henderson (Alec Baldwin) and Randall Kirby (Christian Slater) and Dallas prosecutor Michelle Shughart (AnnaSophia Robb) set out to stop Duntsch, who was building a flourishing neurosurgery practice in Dallas when patients started leaving his operating room permanently maimed or dead.
Dr. Death is based on the Wondery podcast of the same name. The eight-episode series explores the motivations behind Duntsch's crimes and the healthcare system that allowed him to keep practicing.
Dr. Death premieres July 15 on Peacock.
Jackson is known for playing Pacey Witter on Dawson's Creek and Cole Lockhart on The Affair.
