June 14 (UPI) -- Apple TV+ is giving a glimpse of The Morning Show Season 2.

The streaming service shared a teaser trailer for the season Monday featuring Julianna Margulies as the new UBA anchor Laura Peterson.

The preview shows UBA's Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) navigate fallout after exposing UBA's toxic workplace. Alex (Aniston) has publicly left the show and refuses to return, despite Cory Ellison's (Billy Crudup) urging.

Laura (Margulies) is brought on as a new anchor and is seen facing off with Alex during a sit down interview.

Showrunner Kerry Ehrin told Entertainment Weekly that Laura will serve as a stabilizing force at UBA and a mentor for Bradley (Witherspoon).

"Laura started kind of like a Dateline show. She's a UBA star and an icon at a Diane Sawyer level," Ehrin said. "We wanted to create a mentor figure for Bradley that was somebody who does things differently."

The Morning Show is created by Jay Carson. The series is inspired by the Brian Stelter book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV.

Steve Carell, Mark Duplass, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, NĂ©stor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley and Desean Terry co-star. The series will return on September 17.
