Lisa Kudrow says 'Friends: The Reunion' was 'thrilling and a little emotional'

May 20 (UPI) -- Lisa Kudrow discussed her experience on HBO Max's upcoming Friends reunion special while appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The actress, on Wednesday, noted that it has been 17 years since the last episode of the iconic sitcom.

"We hadn't all been in the same room in like five or six years and then COVID you know delayed this whole thing so much that it was thrilling and a little emotional," Kudrow said, before discussing how the show's sets were rebuilt for the special.

"I think we were meant to be excited about seeing the sets and everyone was but me because I wanted to see the people," she said.

Kudrow also mentioned how she took a Friends character quiz on Buzzfeed and was matched to Jennifer Aniston's Rachel. Kudrow famously portrayed Phoebe on the series.

"I thought I was answering questions that would bring me to Phoebe. You know favorite color, yellow or who would you want to be on a date with, SpongeBob, and then it just said Rachel," she said.

Kudrow, Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are all taking part in Friends: The Reunion, which is coming to HBO Max on May 27.
