Feb. 10 (UPI) -- In Treatment Season 4, starring Uzo Aduba, will premiere on HBO in May.
HBO shared a May premiere date and a first look at the new season Wednesday on Twitter.
The teaser photo shows Aduba sitting in an orange chair. The actress will play Dr. Brooke Taylor, a Los Angeles-area therapist, in Season 4.
In Treatment originally aired for three seasons on HBO from 2008 to 2010. The series followed Dr. Paul Weston (Gabriel Byrne), a psychotherapist, as he meets with patients and sees his own therapist.
Aduba and co-showrunners and executive producers Jennifer Schuur and Joshua Allen discussed Season 4 at the Television Critics Association press tour Wednesday.
"This is easily one of the hardest jobs I have ever had in my life," Aduba said. "I cannot make that statement without saying it is also one of the most satisfying, fulfilling experiences I've ever had."
Shuur said the new season will honor the original series while addressing recent issues, including COVID-19 and the racial justice movement.
"As we approached re-imagining the show we wanted to make sure our priorities were to honor the original version but also update the show... we had the opportunity to say some very important things about a time with COVID and racial injustice," she said.
Season 4 will co-star Anthony Ramos, John Benjamin Hickey and Quintessa Swindell.
Aduba is known for playing Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren on Orange is the New Black. She most recently starred in the miniseries Mrs. America.
