Series creators and stars Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon will write and star in the revival. Garant plays Deputy Travis Junior, with Kenney-Silver as Deputy Trudy Wiegel and Lennon as Lieutenant Jim Dangle.

"Reno 911! holds a special place in our hearts, and it will be a delight to get the original cast back together for 're-boot goofin.' Hopefully Nick Swardson can still roller skate," Lennon said, referencing actor Nick Swardson, who played Terry Bernadino.

The revival is produced by Comedy Central Productions. Peter Principato will serve as executive producer with Danny Devito, Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher.

Reno 911! initially had a six-season run on Comedy Central from 2003 to 2009. The mockumentary-style series follows the fictional police officers of the Reno Sheriff's Department.

"We're very excited to partner with Ben, Kerri and Tom, three of the most gifted multi-hyphenates in comedy, to bring more of their iconic series Reno 911! to the world," Comedy Central co-heads of original content Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen said.
