Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Kacey Musgraves teamed up with James Corden on The Late Late Show to sing Christmas classics while acting out a holiday-themed romantic comedy.

The sketch, titled Soundtrack to a Christmas Love Story, featured the duo on Thursday moving between nine different sets and singing 14 holiday songs.

The country star and late night host performed "Jingle Bell Rock," "Wonderful Christmastime," "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and Musgraves' own "Christmas Makes Me Cry," among others.

Musgraves and Corden portrayed two lovers who get back together during the holidays following a misunderstanding.

Corden, to win back the singer, paid homage to Love Actually by speaking to her using signs he wrote on.

Musgraves recently released on Amazon Prime Video The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show, a special that also featured Corden, Camila Cabello, Zooey Deschanel and Lana Del Rey.
