Dec. 3 (UPI) -- My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Whitney Way Thore is engaged to be married.
The 35-year-old television personality announced in an Instagram post Tuesday that she got engaged to her boyfriend, Chase Severino, during a trip to Paris, France, in October.
Thore shared the news alongside a photo of Severino kissing her on the cheek. Thore's large yellow sapphire and diamond engagement ring can be seen on her left hand.
"Chase and I got engaged on October 9th in Paris and I'm quite possibly the happiest woman alive. It has been REAL hard to keep this a secret!" she captioned the post.
Severino confirmed the news in a post on his own account.
"Soooo, something happened!!! Whitney and I are so excited to officially announce our engagement!!" he wrote. "I love you so much baby @whitneywaythore!"
Thore told People her romance with Severino will unfold in My Big Fat Fabulous Life Season 6, which premieres Jan. 7 on TLC.
"Chase and I are so excited to officially announce our engagement and even more excited for My Big Fat Fabulous Life viewers to share this happiness with us," the star said.
"We can't wait to see the new season and watch as we hang out for the first time, go on our first date, fall in love, and make life-changing plans in Paris," she added. "It truly has been a dream."
Thore came to fame after appearing in a 107.5 KZL "Fat Girl Dancing" video, which went viral online. My Big Fat Fabulous Life premiered in 2015 and follows Thore in her daily life and her attempts to lose weight.
