Jon Bon Jovi to perform on NBC's 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center'

Dec. 3 (UPI) -- NBC has announced that Jon Bon Jovi will be performing on the annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center special on Wednesday.

The special features the lighting of the iconic Christmas tree in Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

Bon Jovi will be performing his new song tilted "Unbroken" which is featured in the Netflix veteran documentary To Be of Service.

"This song is meant to honor America's veterans and their service, but I also wanted to take an unflinching look at the reality of their daily lives and struggles," Bon Jovi said in a statement.

John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Chicago, Idina Menzel, Lea Michele, Ne-Yo, Derek and Julianne Hough, Straight No Chases, Skylar Astin and Alex Newell from NBC's Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist will also be performing before the lighting of the tree.

Today anchors Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin and Al Roker will be serving as hosts. Miss America 2019 Nia Franklin and the Radio City Rockettes are also set to appear.

Christmas in Rockefeller Center will air at 8 p.m. EDT. A additional live hour of the special will be broadcast across all NBC-owned television stations starting at 7 p.m. EDT and will be hosted by Access Hollywood's Mario Lopez along with NBC 4 New York's Stefan Holt and Natalie Pasquarella.
