Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Several cast members from the canceled sci-fi series Timeless have joined the Season 2 ensemble of the superhero satire, The Boys. "Timeless fans, lookee! Mini-reunion! SO EXCITED to work with some of my fave people. @goranvisnjic & @JustDoumit & @malcolmbarrett, THANKS for coming to play in #TheBoysTV #Season2!#TheBoys @TheBoysTV #SPN #SPNFamily," tweeted Eric Kripke, who was the show-runner for NBC's Timeless and holds the same post at Amazon's The Boys.

Deadline said Goran Visnjic will play the leader of a mysterious church and Claudia Doumit will play a dynamic congresswoman on The Boys, while Malcolm Barrett appeared in Season 1 and will return in his role as a Vought marketing executive.
Co-starring Abigail Spencer and Matt Lanter, the history-themed adventure show Timeless ran two seasons and wrapped up late last year with a TV movie.
The Boys follows a group of men and women with extraordinary powers who work for a conglomerate. Its ensemble includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Chace Crawford, Erin Moriarty and Dominique McEligott.
