Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Smackdown Tag Team ChampionsThe New Day went to war against Daniel Bryan and Rowan on Smackdown as Roman Reigns continued to search for his attacker.
The New Day, consisting of Xavier Woods and Big E, took on Bryan and Rowan in the main event on Tuesday without the help of their partner, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston who was absent.
The hard-hitting and competitive match suddenly ended after Rowan nailed Woods in the head with steel steps, giving The New Day the disqualification victory.
Bryan and Rowan didn't stop there with The Planet's Tag Team continuing to punish their rivals. Rowan slammed down Big E with the Iron Claw and then helped Bryan take down Woods with his Running Knee.
Reigns, immediately after, was seen entering into the men's locker room and demanding that everyone leave except for former Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy. Reigns accused Murphy of knowing who has attacked him recently and threatened violence.
The Big Dog, after not getting an answer, started to toss Murphy around the locker room area. Murphy finally talked, stating that he saw Rowan attack Reigns. Bryan and Rowan were then featured staring quietly in the ring as they watched Reigns hear the news.
Reigns recently had a forklift and then a car almost run him over with the attacker's identity being left up in the air.
Flair originally had planned to show a video highlighting her career achievements. The video was hijacked by Stratus who instead showed highlights of her Hall of Fame career. Stratus then said she was stepping back into the ring to prove to herself that she can still compete.
Stratus ended the face off by slapping Flair. The Queen smiled after being hit and exited the ring, choosing not to engage the living legend. Flair and Stratus collide at SummerSlam on Sunday.
Other moments from Smackdown included Dolph Ziggler mocking Goldberg's entrance before he defeated Ali; Natalya and Ember Moon fighting to a double count-out; Aleister Black defeating Sami Zayn; and Kevin Owens inviting his SummerSlam opponent Shane McMahon onto The Kevin Owens Show.
Owens, who is putting his career on the line against McMahon, could not get his boss to also quit WWE if he loses. Owens and McMahon then got ready for a fight before McMahon's friend Elias entered the ring.
Owens fought off the duo as best he could until McMahon and Elias finally gained control. The brawl ended with McMahon pushing the announcer's table on top of Owens which pined him to the ground.
