Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Shahs of Sunset star Mercedes Javid is going public about her recent miscarriage scare.
The 46-year-old television personality thanked fans for their support on Instagram after being hospitalized in December amid her first pregnancy.
Javid shared a pair of videos of herself at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She underwent a cervical cerclage after doctors discovered her cervix was measuring too short.
"First and foremost, thank you so much for all the message of love and support along the way. Here's a little video of me feeling very scared and nervous about something unexpected that my exceptionally awesome doctors found during a check up after xmas," the star captioned the post.
"My cervix suddenly measured too short, around 1.3 centimeters, which is high risk for m.c," she explained. "I got an epidural, an overnight stay at the hospital for a surgery called cervical cerclage, which is considered a rescue."

Javid is expecting her first child with her husband, Tommy Feight. She said in another post that she's been on bedrest since the scare happened 18 weeks into her pregnancy.
"Bedrest is far from the ideal way to spend these beautiful days, but I'm learning a lot during this quiet period. How I've gotten through this is with a lot of faith, my beautiful father's calming spirit inside of me, along with a maternal strength, and my husband's unrelenting support and kindness."
Javid and Feight married in April and showed their wedding during the Shahs of Sunset Season 7 finale. Javid confirmed in an interview with Us Weekly in October that she's due to give birth to a baby boy on Mother's Day in May.
"We do happen to have the name," she teased. "And the name is actually unisex. We're holding onto that."
