Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Newlyweds Josiah Duggar and Lauren Duggar are going public about a miscarriage.
The Counting On stars spoke out in a video on the TLCme website Monday after losing their unborn child four months after their wedding.
The clip shows Josiah, 22, and Lauren, 19, standing with their arms around each other on a path outside.
"So, about a couple months ago, we found out we were expecting. But suddenly thereafter, we lost our baby," Lauren said.
"It really was a hard time for our family, just going through this right after we got married," Josiah added. "All the dreams of getting to see our little one and hold it in our hands were dashed before our eyes."
Lauren said they decided to go public about her miscarriage to support and connect with others going through the same experience.
"We really wanted to share our story because we know a lot of people go through a miscarriage but nobody really talks about it," she explained. "We just wanted to let y'all know you're not alone."
Us Weekly said Lauren had a miscarriage in October. Josiah and Lauren married June 30 at John Brown University Cathedral of the Ozarks in Siloam Springs, Ark.,
"We are so excited to be married," Josiah said at the time. "It was everything -- more than -- we dreamed of, really."
Josiah and his family came to fame on the TLC series 19 Kids & Counting and now star on Counting On. Josiah is the eighth of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's 19 children.
