Dec. 24 (UPI) -- BBC America has released photos that offer the first Season 2 glimpse at the characters Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer play in Killing Eve.

The images show Comer's bloodied assassin Villanelle staring down at her injured abdomen, then hitching a ride on a street.

Oh's MI5 officer Eve is seen looking distraught while sitting in a bathtub. Another shot finds her walking away from a security checkpoint with other people looking at her.

Production on the second season recently wrapped in Europe and the fresh episodes of the Golden Globe-nominated show are to premiere in the spring.

The series is based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings.
