Dec. 19 (UPI) -- The McMahon family takeover of Raw and Smackdown continued with WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon making a rare apperance on the blue brand.

McMahon arrived onto the scene on Tuesday in order to confront Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair who were both demanding a match against Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey following the events of TLC.

Rousey had made Lynch and Flair lose their match against Asuka at the event, making The Empress of Tomorrow the new Smackdown Women's Champion.

The chairman stated that he thought Flair and Lynch should get over not being Smackdown Women's Champion and that Asuka should defend her newly won title. Naomi then suddenly arrived, asking for a championship match against Asuka which McMahon agreed to.

Asuka won the bout despite a valiant effort from Naomi after she applied her Asuka Lock submission hold. Lynch and Flair watched the match from the announcer's table and taunted Asuka while she held up her championship in victory.

McMahon's apperance comes after the WWE head announced on Raw Monday that himself, Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and her husband Triple H would start to run Raw and Smackdown together. The announcement was a part of McMahon declaring that WWE would be entering into a new era.

Smackdown general manager Paige, due to the new status quo, was relived of her duties following a speech by Shane in front of the Smackdown locker room. Paige was thanked for her time as general manager amongst cheers from WWE superstars.

Other moments from Smackdown included Jeff Hardy attacking Samoa Joe following a fake apology by Joe for his comments concerning the high-flyer's troubled past; The Miz and Mandy Rose defeating R-Truth and Carmella; SAnitY assaulting The Usos and Gallows and Anderson; and AJ Styles teaming up with Mustafa Ali to defeat WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and Andrade 'Cien' Almas.
