'Teen Mom 2' stars look to the future in Season 9 trailer

Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Teen Mom 2 is giving fans a first glimpse of Season 9.

The MTV series released a trailer Monday that shows Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry, Chelsea Houska, Leah Messer and Briana DeJesus looking to the future.

Evans, who is parent to Jace, Kaiser and Ensley, is shown rekindling her relationship with her mom, Barbara Evans. The pair enjoyed a family outing in October after feuding for years.

The preview, however, also features a clip from Evan's 911 call this year. Evans accused her husband, David Eason, of assaulting her at their home in October.

Houska, meanwhile, is shown with her family and her newborn daughter, Layne. The 27-year-old television personality welcomed her baby girl with husband Cole DeBoer in August.

"Monday, January 14, the past is back," the narrator says in the trailer. "But this season for these moms, their futures are worth fighting for."

Teen Mom 2 Season 9 will premiere Jan. 14 on MTV.
