Superman Tyler Hoechlin posts selfie with Supergirl Melissa Benoist

Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Superman television star Tyler Hoechlin has posted on Instagram a selfie he took with Supergirl star Melissa Benoist ahead of The CW's Elseworlds finale.

"This girl here is a very special human being," Hoechlin said alongside the selfie which features the pair smiling.

"I've had nothing but the best time working with her and everyone else that's a part of the great DC TV cast and crews up in Vancouver. Check out the finale of the crossovers tonight! 8/7c!" he continued.

Hoechlin also tagged other DC television stars that are a part of the crossover including Grant Gustin (The Flash), Stephen Amell (Green Arrow) and Elizabeth Tulloch who has been introduced as Superman's love interest Lois Lane.

Elseworlds is a crossover event between Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl. Trailers for the special have showcased Hoechlin donning a black Superman suit.
