WWE Raw: Baron Corbin injures Braun Strowman

By Wade Sheridan

Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Braun Strowman came face to face with acting general manger Baron Corbin on Raw after the Monster Among Men led the red brand to victory at Survivor Series.

Strowman, who also met with Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon, demanded that he be granted his promised one-on-one match against Corbin on Monday as he was a team player at Survivor Series.

McMahon had also promised a future championship match against Brock Lesnar to Strowman and a permanent job as general manager to Corbin if Raw walked away the victors at the event.

Raw swept Smackdown at Survivor Series, defeating the blue brand in every match. McMahon, despite this, said that Strowman and Corbin would battle each other at TLC on Dec. 16 in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. The winner would receive their previously agreed upon prize.

The commissioner then announced that Strowman would be teaming up with Finn Balor and Elias to take on Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley in a Six-Man Tag Team Elimination Match. Corbin's team would eliminate both Balor and Elias, leaving Strowman to fend for himself.

After Strowman was poised to eliminate Corbin following a Running Powerslam, McIntyre ended things when he hit Strowman with a steel chair. A brutal assault followed as Corbin, McIntyre and Lashley took turns attacking and punishing the giant.

Corbin eventually had Lashley place Strowman's hand in place as he smashed a pair of steel steps against it. The attack inured Strowman and gave him a shattered elbow, WWE later reported. The scene was presented by WWE on YouTube in black and white as Strowman's elbow was bleeding.

Also on Raw, a bruise and battered Ronda Rousey promised that she wasn't through with Smackdown's Charlotte Flair and vowed revenge after Flair had attacked her on Sunday with a number of weapons including multiple kendo sticks and a steel chair.

Rousey, despite not being one hundred percent, issued an open challenge for her Raw Women's Championship. She was eventually paired up against Mickie James after Corbin warned Rousey against defending her title.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet won the match after delivering a number of Piper's Pits followed by her Armbar submission hold, forcing James to tap out. Rousey was then confronted by Nia Jax while going up the exit ramp. Rousey will next defend her title against Jax at TLC.

Other moments from Raw included Jax and Tamina defeating Sasha Banks and Bayley; The Lucha House Party defeating The Revival; Bobby Roode and Chad Gable defeating Raw Tag Team Champions AOP in a non-title match; Natalya defeating Ruby Riott; and Seth Rollins finally being able to get his hands on Dean Ambrose.

Rollins spent Raw in pursuit on Ambrose who he was finally able to fight once The Lunatic Fringe brought himself out to the ring. Rollins was able to beat down his former friend until Ambrose delivered a low blow. Ambrose then nailed Rollins with two Dirty Deeds as Raw went off the air.
