June 22 (UPI) -- Action-movie icon Dolph Lundgren is to host six episodes of Take the Tower, ITV's new physical competition and quiz show hybrid.

"This is probably the most bonkers idea we've had the good fortune to make. But in the words of the A Team, it's so crazy, it just might work," Melanie Leach, an executive at the British television channel, said in a statement.

No premiere date has been announced.

"This adrenaline-packed series will tap into classic movie tropes, requiring toughness, brains and stamina. It's high stakes with cash prizes up for grabs and the fear of one of the team being 'toppled off the tower,'" a news release said.

Lundgren, 60, is famous for his roles in the Rocky, Universal Soldier and The Expendables blockbusters. He also will soon be seen in Aquaman and Creed 2.
