WWE Raw: Rousey is suspended, Ziggler wins Intercontinental title

June 19 (UPI) -- Ronda Rousey was suspended by general manager Kurt Angle Monday on Raw after she violently took out her frustrations on newly crowned Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss.

At the start of the show, Bliss provoked Rousey after The Goddess had won the Women's Money in the Bank briefcase on Sunday and proceeded to cash it on the same night on Nia Jax, just as Rousey was in the midst of defeating her to become champion.

"If you ever want a championship opportunity you better get in the back of the line you overhyped rookie," Bliss said to Rousey, which set off The Baddest Woman on the Planet.

Rousey then took down Bliss and delivered a flurry of punches before Angle attempted to break things up. The Raw general manager then received a Judo Throw from Rousey who continued her assault on Bliss by using the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Rousey also used the briefcase on Angle as he attempted a second time to get the former UFC Champion under control. Rousey even assaulted WWE ring officials after they entered the ring. Angle, backstage, then handed her a 30-day suspension as a result of her actions.

Also on Raw, Seth Rollins -- despite not being fully healthy following his match against Elias at Money in the Bank -- reinstated his Intercontinental Title Open Challenge which was accepted by Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler, with his partner Drew McIntryre in his corner, was able to get the best of Rollins who was seen hobbling around the ring on one leg. During a multiple pinning sequence between the two competitors, Ziggler was able to roll up Rollins and pin him for the three count by holding onto his tights, becoming the new Intercontinental Champion in the process.

Rollins, upset after the match, argued with Ziggler before McIntryre came from behind and laid out The Kingslayer. Ziggler and his partner then performed their double-finishing maneuver, the Claymore-Zig Zag. Rollins declared afterwards backstage that he would use his rematch clause next week.

Roman Reigns, meanwhile, declared himself as the rightful next opponent for Universal Champion Brock Lesnar before he was confronted by Bobby Lashley who stated that The Big Dog has had enough chances against The Beast.

Angle, on orders from Stephanie McMahon, announced that Lesnar's next opponent would be determined in an upcoming multi-man match at Extreme Rules on July 15 and that Reigns and Lashley would be the first two entered into the bout.

Reigns and Lashley were then placed into a tag team match together where they defeated The Revival.

Other moments from Raw included Bobby Roode defeating Curt Hawkins; Raw Tag Team Champions Woken Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt defeating Heath Slater and Rhyno; Jinder Mahal defeating Chad Gable; The Riott Squad defeating Sasha Banks and Bayley; Mojo Rawley defeating No Way Jose; and Kevin Owens and Baron Corbin defeating Braun Strowman and Finn Balor.
