WWE reaches agreement with Fox to air Smackdown Live in 2019

May 22 (UPI) -- WWE has agreed in principle to move its weekly televised program Smackdown Live from USA Network to Fox starting in October 2019.

The five-year deal, which is nearing completion, is said to be worth more than $1 billion in total and $205 million annually, The Hollywood Reporter noted, citing sources close to the negotiations.

Smackdown Live, which currently airs on USA every Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET, will be placed on Fox's Friday night schedule, The Wrap reported.

WWE's Monday night weekly program Raw, is expected to remain on USA. Raw is averaging around 3 million viewers a week with Smackdown Live averaging 2.59 million.
