Liza Koshy announced as the host of Nickelodeon's 'Double Dare' reboot

May 22 (UPI) -- Nickelodeon has announced that YouTube star and actress Liza Koshy will be the new host of the network's upcoming reboot of game show Double Dare.

The announcement came as part of a teaser for the series that features Koshy and former Double Dare host Marc Summers.

"I mean come on you know I love messes. I got slimed twice at the Kids Choice Awards," Koshy says in reference to Double Dare's use of Nickelodeon's signature green slime.

Koshy will be joined on the reboot by Summers who will be providing commentary, The Hollywood Reporter noted.

Double Dare is set to return of June 25 at 8 p.m. ET.

The game show, which originally aired on Nickelodeon from 1986 to 1993, featured two teams competing against each other by answering trivia questions and taking part in messy physical challenges. The team with the highest score at the end would then be allowed to go through an obstacle course that involved a a human hamster wheel and a gigantic mouth among other obstacles.
