Jennifer Aniston and Tig Notaro to play president, first lady in Netflix movie

May 18 (UPI) -- Jennifer Aniston is to play the president of the United States and Tig Notaro will be her wife in the political comedy First Ladies, Netflix said Friday.

Notaro and Stephanie Allynne are writing the movie and producing alongside Aniston, Adam McKay, Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, Betsy Koch and Chris Henchy.

"When Beverly and Kasey Nicholson move into the White House, they'll prove that behind every great woman... is another great woman," a synopsis said.

Aniston is best known for her work in the TV sitcom Friends. Her film credits include Picture Perfect, Office Space, Bruce Almighty, The Good Girl, We're the Millers and Horrible Bosses.

Netflix announced in March that it is working on a movie called Murder Mystery which will reunite Aniston with her Just Go With It co-star Adam Sandler.

Notaro's standup special Tig Notaro Happy to Be Here is scheduled to debut Tuesday on the streaming service. She is also set to direct Ellen DeGeneres' upcoming Netflix comedy program.
