Minnie Driver announces 'Speechless' renewal

May 11 (UPI) -- British actress Minnie Driver announced on Twitter her family sitcom Speechless has been renewed for a third season.

"THIS JUST IN: #spechless picked up for a 3rd season HA! Brilliant. Couldn't be happier," Driver tweeted Thursday.

"22 episodes !!!!!" she wrote in another post.

"So happy I spelt #speechless wrong ...." said a follow-up message.

In the ABC sitcom, Driver plays Maya DiMeo, a mom who will do anything for her family, including her eldest son, a teen with cerebral palsy. The show co-stars John Ross Bowie, Mason Cook, Micah Fowler, Kyla Kenedy and Cedric Yarbrough.
