May 10 (UPI) -- Queer Eye star Karamo Brown is engaged to be married.

The 37-year-old television personality proposed to his boyfriend, director Ian Jordan, at a gathering with family and friends Wednesday in Los Angeles.

"Last night, in front of family & friends, I asked my best friend and the love of my life, 'will you marry me?' He said YESSS!!!!" Brown said in an Instagram post Thursday.

"I'm engaged! Showing off our beautiful @davidyurmanmen rings. #LoveWins @theianjordan," he added.

Jordan, who served as an assistant director on the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life on Deck, shared a photo on his own account of Brown popping the question.

"I said yes!!!! I love you @karamobrown with all my heart and look forward to spending my life with you and conquering the world!!!! #engaged #love #easyandbreezy," he said in the caption.

People reported Brown's Queer Eye co-stars Bobby Berk, Tan France, Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness were present for the proposal. Brown popped the question a day after Jordan's 40th birthday.

"Happy birthday to the love of my life @theianjordan!" he said Tuesday. "I pray today and this year brings you everything your heart desires."

Brown is also known for appearing on The Real World: Philadelphia. He is dad to 21-year-old son Jason Brown, and is also parent to his half-brother, Chris Brown, whom he adopted.
