Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Actress, comedian and author Tiffany Haddish is to host the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards ceremony.

"So I got some Great News Everybody! I will be hosting the MTV Movie and TV Awards.. make sure you watch Monday June 18th on MTV. The Awards will be in Los Angeles and it will be fun! #MTVAwards #SheReady #godisgood #mtv #godisshowingout," Haddish wrote in an Instagram post Thursday.

Prize categories, nominees and event venue are expected to be announced at a later date.

Haddish starred in the 2017 blockbuster Girls Trip and recently guest hosted Saturday Night Live. She also will soon be seen starring with Tracy Morgan in the TBS sitcom The Last OG.
