Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin earned their way into the Fastlane WWE Championship match Thursday on Smackdown Live by defeating Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

Smackdown Live commissioner Shane McMahon announced that Ziggler and Corbin would be facing each other to kick off Smackdown, with the winner being added to the Triple Threat title match at Fastlane between defending champion AJ Styles, Owens and Zayn.

Owens and Zayn in wanting to prevent the match from happening, attacked Corbin backstage before moving onto Ziggler who was waiting inside the ring. McMahon then announced singles matches pitting Corbin against Owens and Ziggler against Zayn that would determine if the championship bout at Fastlane becomes a Fatal 4-Way or Fatal 5-Way match.

Corbin, despite being attacked earlier, still brought the fight to Owens and defeated The Prizefighter by delivering the End of Days for the three count.

Ziggler met Zayn in the main event of the night in a highly-competitive match that ended with The Showoff nailing Zayn with a Superkick for the three count as he rushed over to perform his Helluva Kick. Styles will now be defending his WWE Championship in a Fatal 5-Way Match on March 11 against Owens, Zayn, Corbin and Ziggler.

Also on Smackdown Live, Bobby Roode issued a United States Championship open challenge that was accepted by Randy Orton one week after he had sneak attacked The Glorious One with an RKO.

As Orton met Roode in the ring, they were interrupted by Jinder Mahal who began to berate Orton on his No. 9 placement on the Smackdown Top 10 list. After a verbal sparring, Orton then suddenly delivered an RKO to Mahal's bodyguard Sunil Singh which sparked a brawl between all three Superstars. Mahal ended things by delivering a Khallas to both Orton and Roode and proceeded to celebrate in the ring.

Other moments from Smackdown Live included Charlotte Flair defeating Sarah Logan; and The New Day defeating Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable.
